Star Wars Event = SKILL TICKETS!!

Hi everyone!!!

I just found out about this awesome legit trick to getting skill tickets from the upcoming Star Wars event, and I just had to share it with you!!

UPDATE - APR 2, 2017 - 11:46PM - I just realized that you need to have a bit more context on what happened in Star Wars Part II event last year to completely understand what this upcoming event is going to be like: Star Wars Part II event .  It will explain how you can see and choose which friend to help attack the Star Destroyer they're facing in their current card.

Please please please watch this video: Line Disney Tsum Tsum - Get Your Tsums to SL6 FREE!!

Thank you MooGaming for this wonderful video!!

Keys:
  • Get friends
  • Help friends destroy their Star Destroyers
  • Let timer expire past 60 minutes!! Yes, you fail the mission. Re-ignite the mission thereafter!
  • Get Gift Capsules for helping friends ==> K-2SO found in Gift Capsules
  • Get 29 boxes with K-2SO, and you'll get K-2SO to Skill 6!!!
  • After getting Skill 6 K-2SO, you will get Skill Ticket in future boxes starting with Box 30!!
Note: not every Gift Capsule you get is a box for K-2SO. Some are item tickets and coins, so it will take some time to get all 29 boxes for K-2SO.

Hope this further excites you for the upcoming Star Wars event!! Plan amongst your friends and see how to best help each other get multiple skill tickets during this event!!

Happy Happy Tsuming!! May the force be with you. =)

  1. Would appreciate if someone can help clarify the followings:

    1. Do we get to participate in a friend's battle automatically once he/she runs into a Star Destroyer? Or do we need them to initiate a request for help?

    2. It's says we will need to let the hour pass without destroying the Destroyers...How do we prevent our friends from destroying our destroyers within the 1 hour limit?

    3. Can I still participate in a friend's battle if I have completed all my own 30 cards?

    4. We get gift box for helping not getting help right?

    5. We can score zero points and still get a gift box everytime we "help" a friend?

    Thank you very much.

    1. Hi Unknown,

Thank you so much for your questions! You helped me realize that not everyone would completely understand what is meant in the video if they didn't play the Star Wars Part II event last year. Please check out my article last year to give you more insight of what and how to help your friends with their Star Destroyer missions:

      http://tsumtsumtidbits.blogspot.ca/2016/06/star-wars-event-part-2-tidbits.html

After reading the above blogpost of the event last year and how it worked, the below are the answers to your questions to give further insight on how this event will run:

      1) You will see your name and a settings button next to your name at the bottom of the screen. When you hit the settings button, you'll see all your friends who need help. You get to choose at that point who to help.

      2) Your friends can help you damage the Star Destroyer up to a certain point. However, only YOU can finish the mission as you need to go back in and play another game before you can finish the card. If you don't finish the card before 60 minutes is up, it will not be completed and the Star Destroyer gets away. So your friends can do as much damage as they can, but they cannot finish the mission for you. It's just how the game is structured where you deliver the finishing blow.

      3) Yes! You can definitely participate and help your friends' games after you completed your 30 cards. However, your friends do not get the same benefit of getting gift capsules from you since you will not have any star destroyers left for them to battle for you. At least, this is what happened last year after I completed the event in 7 hours with a friend. I was able to help other friends who hadn't finished their event yet.

      4) You only get gift capsules for helping another friend battle the star destroyer, not for being helped.

      5) It's impossible to get 0 points and get the capsule since you need to hit the capsule somehow to attain it, and if you hit the capsule, it means you activated your tsum's ability to clear tsums.

Hope the above answers helped, as well as the blog article from last year!! Thanks for reading!! =D

    1. Hi Man,

To fail the mission means to try for the Star Destroyer and thereby keep the event going for other people to get gift capsules for helping you out. You can only get the gift capsule for battling your friends' star destroyers, not your own. If you finish your event before everyone else, then your friends won't be able to get gift capsules since you have no more star destroyers to battle. You want more of your friends and you to not finish the game so fast so that you can get more skill tickets. If everyone finishes the event too early, you won't be able to get the skill tickets that happen after the 29 boxes of K-2SO. I hope this makes sense. If not, let me know and I can see if I can explain it differently.

      Thanks for reading! =)

  3. Hi Fatalistic Web,

I saw some post on reddit saying that, the skill ticket is somehow a bug on previous star wars event.
Besides, the author also did mentioned that the bug already being removed on intl version.

Hope this is not true. -.-

    1. Hi Jian Cong Koay,
I hope that this isn't true either... especially if there are 29 boxes we'd need to open for K-2SO to max him out... I guess we will see. Thanks for bringing the Reddit conversation to my attention!

Could you please give advise and comments for Beast, Maleficent Dragon and Jedi Luke?
Which tsum would be the best if all 3 aslo in Skill Level 6 ?

    1. Hi Man,

I always refer back to this table from Reddit: http://i.imgur.com/WPyvOuu.png to see which tsums are best for coin farming.

The three you listed are the top 3 coin farming tsums to date that we have in tsum tsum. I prefer Beast at Skill 6 because he's super consistent in coin earning, and I have yet to try Jedi Luke so I can't comment besides saying if you know how to use his skill, he has unlimited potential to give you lots and lots of coins based on the videos I've seen on Youtube.

Maleficent Dragon is awesome if you know how to use her ability well to get back into fever times and create time bubbles to keep the play going for a long time. For me, I'm not a very good player with chain tsums and can work better with burst tsums, so I don't use her much.

Which tsum is best, I would have to say it's up to your playing style. I believe Jedi Luke would be the king of coin farmers in the international realm, but one that is limited edition tsum so new players won't have that advantage until he comes back next year. For me, I think Beast Skill 6 is an even playing field since you can get him anytime in the premium boxes.

Does that sort of answer your questions? Do feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions! =)

      Thanks for reading!

  5. hi, i didn't get to participate in the star wars events last year, and am not very familiar with how this event will work. i've already read the other blog post you made on star wars event part II, and i sort of understand most of it now, but i'm a little confused so let me clear up any misunderstandings i have:

    • leaving the mission past 60 mins so that you fail is to allow a longer time to help friends (who are in need of help) to get gift capsules, right?

    • if i leave the mission open, do i only get to help those in need of help for that mission only? e.g. i keep failing mission #1 (i.e. leaving it open) so i can only help those who requested help for mission #1 and not #2 etc.?

    and a question from me:
    • how long should i leave each mission open? when should i succeed the mission and move on to the next? because there's a time limit to the whole event and i'm afraid i may not complete it in time from leaving the missions open for as long as possible to get gift capsules.

    1. Hi Berenice Chye,

I hope I understand the video correctly.

There are a total of 30 cards. You may proceed 29 cards, and leave the last card.

After that, request for friend's help to take out star destroyer on the last card. (you may request for help on other cards also).

Your friend who help will get gift capsule with random rewards.

Star destroyer will gone after 1 hour, hence, the card will failed after 1 hour duration.

You can refresh the quest and repeat the card N times by doing this.

Your friends get to help and get limitless gift capsule if they are hardworking enough.

Your friends will do the same thing and you will be getting limitless gift capsule too.

Fatalistic Web, did I understand it correctly?

      Delete
    2. YES Jian, you got it. =)

Berenice, great questions!! And you get to help your friends on any battle they're on, whether you're on Card 5 and they're on Card 15, it doesn't matter. =) As long as they start a battle with a Star Destroyer, it'll show up on your list of friends needing help with a Star Destroyer in which case you just jump in and play a game to defeat as many stormtroopers as you can.

When you start a battle against a Star Destroyer, above your name will be a timer that will count down 60 minutes. Once that 60 minutes expire, the Star Destroyer will be known to have escaped. So you use another heart to see if you can get another Star Destroyer battle going for another 60 minutes. In my opinion, although the video says to finish up to card 29 and leave card 30 so you don't finish the event and thus help your cards, I say for the first few days, finish up to Card 20 and then stop. Then over the next few weeks, finish maybe 2 cards each and on the last week it won't be too rushed to finish card 30. First 15 cards will be easy to finish quickly but afterwards, the health points will be a lot higher and take a lot longer to finish the card so having friends to help you with those are ideal. Does that make sense? For me, I'm just going to finish up to card 20 and stop completing cards. This way, it gives my friends a few games to play before they can't anymore. Remember, there is a point where the game will say that the star destroyer has been destroyed but it really hasn't because your friend who you are helping needs to do the final blow before the card is completed. I hope this helps answer your questions. =)

  6. Hi, your tips are so useful! Thanks a lot! Just one question though, do I have to save the boxes for K2SO in order to keep receiving boxes? I mean if I collected the 29 boxes of K2SOs, will the game sense that my K2SO is already maxed out, and will not give me boxes afterwards?

    1. If not mistaken, you only will know what is inside the gift capsule after opening it. The gift is on random basis.

    2. Hi Unknown,

Jian is right in that each gift capsule contains different gifts, and not all of them will contain K-2SO. You will need to open them to see what you get... as for if the game will sense that your K-2SO is maxed out and not give you boxes afterwards, I'm not sure since this is all new to me... we're hoping it's like last year where we get skill tickets after maxing K-2SO especially if K-2SO needs 29 boxes to get to max Skill 6...

Thanks for your questions!! And thank you so much for reading! =)

  7. Thank you so much for all the news and tips! I hope the skill tickets work the same way for the event this time and I hope my friends play along with the plan. I posted a link to your post on Line so fingers crossed!
I had a question about Princess Leia. I didn't play last year so missed out on everyone. I'll be getting the 2 from the 2nd pick up capsule but I wondered about leveling up her skill level:
    1. Would it only take 4 skill tickets to max her level? I'm assuming players only got 6 as prizes last year...
    2. Is it worth maxing her skill level? I'd love to play her for sentimental reasons but it would be nice if she was a good coin farmer too. My best coin farmer currently is SL4 Ursula and my Beast is one ticket away from SL5.
I hope those make sense! Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication!

    1. Hi Meredith!

Great questions! Princess Leia is probably one of the easiest tsums to skill up to Skill 6 because you only need 1 skill ticket per skill level, thus you only need 5 skill tickets to skill her up from Skill 1 to Skill 6. So yes, after you get the two that are in the pickup capsule coming up in 2 weeks time, you only need 4 more skill tickets to max her level. =) Yes, players who played last year got her maxed out because of the event.

In my opinion, it is worth it to max her skill level because she's very useful for capsules that fall during the game since she aims everywhere on the screen. I did use her as a coin farmer at one point last year, and was able to get on average around 1100 coins to 1500 coins when I did use her last year at Skill 6.

Oh wow, see if you'll be lucky to get another Beast during the lucky time next weekend. Beast is awesome at Skill 5 and truly more impressive at Skill 6. =) Ursula is a great coin farmer as well! You're doing fantastic in terms of getting coin farmers!! Great job!

Thank you so much for your kind kind words, Meredith! Happy Tsuming and may the force be with you. =)

  8. How come nobody is talking about little oyster? Clearly he is number 1 above beast on the "no boost" coin farm list.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Chris Lee,

Little oyster is good at no boost.
From the list, he able to get avg 2.8k.
By using little oyster, 5>4 is not needed as it skill will charged up once activated.
      Hence, 2.8k - 500 = 2.3k per game.
      By taking 10% return from coin booster, 2800 + 280 - 500 = 2580 per game.

With beast on the other hand, able to get 4.8k with 5>4 (cost 1.8k), yield 3k.
      With coin booster, 4.8k + 480 – 2300 = 2980 per game.
The difference is approx. 400 per game.

In addition, coin booster did paid out some surprise, from the range of 10% - 6000% (as far as I know).
By having a higher base coins before the coin booster will give you a better chance to gain a higher pay out too.

Last but not least, beast and little oyster are 2 different play style tsum.
Beast is a burst tsum; while little oyster is a link tsum.
You may decide who to level up base on your play style.

Hope I did answer some of your doubt.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You have to break the capsules in game to get gifts, if you're lucky enough to get any to drop. Like everyone else I'm finding the drop rate frustrating. I also noticed that when I let the 60 minutes expire the destroyer returns but its HP is not replenished despite what the game instructions said. This makes it difficult to maximize the chances for friends to participate.

    1. Hi CQJW,
Before answering this question, I would like to know if you are more to a burst tsum player or a link tsum player. I have both at skill lvl 5. I have the same dilemma as you, hence I do a complete study on them.

      1. Talk about play style. Jedi Luke is much more skill dependent if compare to Beast. Different player with same lvl of tsum will get a difference in score and coins about 5mils and 2k respectively.

      2. Talk about play time. Jedi Luke has a longer play time as he freeze the time during skill activation, roughly about 5 minutes while beast play time is approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds. For my case, with 5>4 and coin booster turning on, I managed to get average 5.1k coins for Jedi Luke and average 3.3k coins on Beast before coin boost. So, Jedi Luke earns 1.5 times more than Beast.

      3. Next, I did a one hour comparison table base on both with 5>4 and coin booster turning on.
For 1 hour game play, Beast can play for 24 games, while Jedi Like only can play for 12 games.
So, the total coins after boost and deduct 2300 for the cost, Beast yield 54360; while Jedi Luke yields 56550. Their difference is not significant.

      4. Lastly, please bear in mind that I only use 10% (25% chance), 30% (45% chance), 50% (25% chance) and 100% (5% chance) as the odds for coin booster. Boost more than 100% will give you a fantastic payout if you base coins is high.
** I had done this study base on 100 games sample size on 2 different tsums and this are the % I able to get (ignore the odd more than 100% which are rare)**

To summarize, Beast and Jedi Luke yield almost the same coins in the same duration of game play.
Beast is more consistent than Jedi Luke as Jedi Luke need more concentration.
How Jedi Luke perform is highly dependent on the skill you play the game.

Last but not least, “May the Force be with You”.

  37. I have a few more questions...
    1. How can friends be helping me when none of them show up on my support list to help battle?

#2 is same question/observation as dreamlucky above ...
    2. Is there a way to improve capsule drop rate? IE specific tsum, add bonus etc?

I'm finding drop rate to be sporadic and poor, and actually getting KSO2 is less than 7%.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. As for #1, they have all probably finished their own 30 cards and are now just doing support battles to farm capsules. I think it's kind of unfair that people can keep supporting after finishing their game. So they can get the chance for more capsules from me but I don't have the same opportunity from them. Oh well. First World problems, right?
As for #2, no idea. Dying to know if someone figures it out. The drop rate feels terrible, both for capsules and then for getting K2SO when you do get capsules.

      Delete
    2. I think that is unfair too. But in order to prevent someone who has completed their card from playing on mine I would have to block them right? I have several unknowns that have been farming capsules on 'my' cards.

    4. I've already finished my cards, but I have a friend who's willing to let me farm from her cards. Problem is, I don't see the destroyer anymore. How can I support if I don't see it? Am I missing a step here? Sorry for the questions, I'm still a noob lol

  38. I thought I saw something in your blog about the Fight the Empire event having a bonus card for a gold pin, but I can't find it, and none of my friends who have finished the event have a gold pin. Is there a gold pin available for this event?

    1. I think you saw the link for last year post. Only last year Star Wars event Part II gave gold pin. Will there be any Part II for this year? still an unknown.
Hence, for this event, only silver pin will be available.

    1. Hi Rachel,

That orange button should still be there if one of your friends has a destroyer open, even after you finished the game. I think it's more of just waiting for one of them to be open and you should be able to go back into their games.
