November Lucky Times, Pickup Capsule, Villains Event AND MICKEY'S BIRTHDAY Coming Up!

October 27, 2016

A new update just came out on Reddit and in the Facebook Tsum Tsum Addicts group!

Villains Lucky Time is coming our way!

Lucky Time is most likely going to start next Thursday, November 3rd, ending on Sunday, November 6th at 11:59 PST, for the following three villains:
  • Ursula
  • Evil Queen
  • Maleficent Dragon
As usual, this means the event to come will heavily favor these new tsums by granting character bonuses when you use them, so be sure to start saving up for next weekend's spending spree! To see what the abilities are for each of these characters, Seiji has a great video that showcases all three villains and their skills at the same time.

The Villains Event will have 3 maps to complete, one for each villain as briefly illustrated in the following Wikia link: Villains Event.

That's all the information that has leaked so far. I will post an update on this post once I hear more updates!

Happy Tsuming! =)

UPDATE: November 2, 2016

We have an amazing MVP in the Reddit group named Mayorse who discovered (or at least has a genuinely amazing theory in my opinion) about how the new leaks work for at least the International Tsum Tsum game. Traditionally we have had her and other data miners go into the game once an update is received by our devices to see what new images have come through. Though recently, the community has started receiving these updates later and later.

Mayorse has come across a trail of crumbs in the woods and have found out something peculiar. Although we were getting new updates on the villains coming soon, no game update was in our queue yet. She discovered that the new updates were not in the game yet, but that they were coming from a webpage! She explains her discovery better than I can, so I highly recommend reading further on the Reddit page if you're interested in learning more about her investigation! Thank you Mayorse!! I'm having a lot of fun reading through your detective stories. =)

Now, for the newest updates that we know so far!

  • Villains Lucky Time: Thurs, Nov 3rd to Sun, Nov 6th
  • Villains Lucky Time: Fri, Nov 25th to Sun, Nov 27th
Tidbit: Maleficent Dragon is a limited time tsum! So get her while you can this month, especially during the Lucky Times if you can! We don't know when she will reappear in the future.
  • Villains Event is coming as per the update earlier this morning - I suspect it will start on Mon, Nov 7th or Tues, Nov 8th, and it will run until Sun, Nov 27th. Someone on Reddit has already posted many of the details of what each card's missions are, though it is important to note that the details are according to what we know when it first came out in the Japanese version of Tsum Tsum.
Tidbit: For the Villains Event, it looks like 3 additional (already existing) tsums can be used to get character bonuses as well, and thus help you complete the three villains maps! You can use Snow White on the Evil Queen's map, regular Ariel on Ursula's map, and Princess Aurora for Maleficent Dragon's map and attain character bonuses to defeat their antagonists. UPDATE - NOV 2: If you don't have these three protagonists, you're in luck! There will be a princesses lucky time (scroll down in link) for these tsums!
  • Concert Mickey is coming out soon! According to the data mining Mayorse has done, Concert Mickey appears in the list of playable tsums! Some people suspect it's going to come in the pickup capsule, though, since no release dates have been discovered yet, the developers might throw us a curveball and have Concert Mickey come in the second lucky time of the month.
  • UPDATE - NOV 2: Sorcerer Mickey is coming out alongside Concert Mickey!! Keep mining those coins as much as you can! These two are limited time tsums and will only be available during the Mickey Lucky Time that is happening later this month (date still TBD).
Tidbit: At the moment, we know we'd get Concert Mickey soon but no release dates have been discovered yet. Just be prepared in case it comes in the second weekend of November, which is usually when the second lucky time happens in the month. The second lucky time of the month usually houses a random assortment of tsums that were previously released in the International game, and which caters to and helps the newer players have a higher chance in attaining some of the better tsums e.g. Belle and Beast.

The developers are withholding the pickup capsule and lucky time pictures at this time. Once I hear more from the communities, I will update you all as well!

UPDATE - NOV 2 EVENING: Along with the Villains lucky time, there will also be a lucky time specifically for Snow White, regular Ariel, and Princess Aurora; and a lucky time for Concert Mickey AND Sorcerer Mickey, both of which are limited time tsums so keep farming those coins before next week so that you can get these special editions of Mickey. Furthermore, from what was found so far, the pickup capsule so far has regular Anna, regular Elsa, regular Rapunzel and Pascal. No updated picture on what else is in the pickup capsule yet.

Good luck on the upcoming Villains Lucky Time this Thursday!

Happy Tsuming!! =)

UPDATE: NOVEMBER 3 & 7 & 11, 2016

More updates have been found! This time from the Tsum Tsum Addicts group! The pictures shared with the group are in Spanish and in UTC time zone, so below are my best estimates for PST time zone since I'm on the west coast. Hopefully this helps!

  • Princesses Lucky Time (Snow White, Ariel, Aurora): from Nov 8th until Nov 10th, 11:59pm PST
    • NOTE: it is highly suspected that this lucky time corresponds to the start of the Villains event
    • UPDATE NOV 7TH - it was noted that when this first Villain event came out in Japan, they got a short time to complete it. When I looked, the event only occurred between April 10th and April 24th. Given this new information, some people speculate we won't get the event until this Friday, Nov 11th. However, double check tomorrow (Tues) in case it comes out earlier.
    • UPDATE NOV 8TH - The Villain event starts today!! As it turns out, it looks like the developers launch the event One Week after the initial taunt starts, where they announce an event is coming up and don't announce much more than that. So far, the event is pretty straightforward though if you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments below. Happy Tsuming!
  • 4-Day Pickup Capsule: from Nov 10th until Nov 13th, 11:59pm PST and it will include (UPDATE: NOV 11 - I think the developers/artist miscounted the 4 days... Anyhow, the capsule is on now!! Still ending on Nov 13th at 11:59PM, so it's really a 3-day pickup capsule.)
    • ARLO x 2!!!
    • Elsa x 2
    • Anna x 2
    • Olaf x 1
    • Rapunzel x 2
    • Pascal x 2
    • Lady x 2
    • Dumbo x 2
    • and if you get all 15 capsules, you get a skill ticket!!
  • Concert Mickey & Sorcerer Mickey Lucky Time: Nov 18th to Nov 20th, 11:59pm PST !! It is believed to start on November 18th because it's Mickey's birthday!
There are so many limited tsums this month!!! Farm as much coins as you can now for the Pickup Capsule (need 450,000 coins!) and for the Special Mickey Lucky Time!! I highly recommend it.

Happy Tsuming and Good Luck everyone!! =D

  4. Thanks for the encouragement!

Btw the event was quite easy. I got past all 3 of the villains and now getting the remaining 2 maps complete for the tickets and coins. Judging by my coin count now (100,000) I probably will get at least 1 Sorcerer Mickey.

Anyway, keep up the good work on the blog!

    Now, I have a question:
Do you think Dragon Maleficent is more powerful than regular Maleficent? I'm wondering if I should invest my skill tickets on her..

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes, definitely! Maleficient Dragon requires fewer tsums to recharge compared to Maleficient (22 vs 20). Furthermore, her ability lasts much longer even from level 1 (4 sec vs 3.3 sec). All in all, she is a much stronger version of Maleficient and definitely worth skilling up!

    2. Hi tsookee,

Thank you so much for reading my blog! Great to know that my updates and posts have been helpful!

And Great question! I have to say in my opinion that Maleficent Dragon is more powerful than Maleficent. Why? Please check out the next two links:

      http://disneytsumtsum.wikia.com/wiki/Maleficent

      http://disneytsumtsum.wikia.com/wiki/Maleficent_Dragon

If you compare the two sites side by side with regards to the chart that states each of their skills, you will notice 2 things at least:

      1) As Maleficent skills up, the amount of time to use her ability increases.

      2) As Maleficent Dragon skills up, both the amount of time to use her ability increases AND the number needed to fill up her skill meter decreases!! This means that as you skill her up, you can increase the number of times you can use her skill in one game!

To see the potential of Skill 6, I always go back to Seiji's collection of YouTube videos:

      https://youtu.be/7OYVoAPzuYM

Furthermore, when you compare the two skill charts, you'll notice that right from the start, Maleficent Dragon gives you more time than Maleficent does at each Skill level until Skill 6 where both gives you the same amount of time at 6 seconds. Both needs the same number of boxes opened before getting to Skill 6 as well.

Also, Maleficent Dragon at the start only needs 22 to start activating her skill, whereas Maleficent needs 23 to start activating her skill in the game. Maleficent will consistently need 23 before her skill meter is full and you can activate her skill.

Hope this helped! Thanks for reading!!

    4. Thank you very much!

I must admit, I was a bit afraid that her Dragon version was almost too good to be true, so I thought maybe there's wrong with it.. haha

So let's hope there's really going to be a second lucky time with the villains, so I can level her up as much as possible before using all my skill tickets just now..

      Thanks again!

    5. From what I have observed, the Dragon version charges slower when you clear her during the skill, which may be a problem. The original Maleficent (which I don't own), as reported by others, does not seem to have such a problem.

The Dragon version is still much better than the original one though, at least with what I have seen. I have no experience with the original Maleficent whatsoever.

  6. Do we have any information or guesses as to what the Dec tsums and events might look like? I'm savng up for the Mickey's, but I'm wondering if dropping 450k on this pickup cap is worth it when I have all the tsums and I have 0 of the Christmas ones since i started playing in March

    1. Hi Sam,

Unfortunately, no, there hasn't been any leaks yet in the groups I am following to indicate what December tsums are yet. I will definitely update my blog once I find out though!!

If you don't need the skill ticket from the pickup capsule, then yes, save your coins for next month. Last year was interesting for the Japanese version of Tsum Tsum in that they did not get any new Christmas tsums. Instead, in conjunction with the highly anticipated Star Wars Episode VII movie, the developers of Tsum Tsum decided to release Star Wars events I and II in Japan first! So I don't think they will release new Christmas tsums for the International version this year, but instead possibly release Star Wars tsums Rey and Kylo Ren since the Japanese game got it back in May. If they release Kylo Ren and Rey tsum tsums in the game, it'd correspond well with the new Star Wars movie coming this December as well. However, no new Star Wars event to date that I can tell when these two tsums came out in May.

Please do note that all of this is speculation and at this point, I really have no clue what it can be.

I found a list of the events that the Japanese Tsum Tsum has gotten to date:

      http://disneytsumtsum.wikia.com/wiki/Japan_Events

So far, we have caught up on a lot of different events that the Japanese version has had. If anything, the list sort of indicates that we might get Lion King but that would be wishful thinking and not so much based on any facts or leaks that I've found.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help at this point. Stay tuned. Hopefully I will have an update soon!

    1. Hi FengHeng,

Sorry for the delayed response! It has been a hectic day.

Picking from the pickup capsule is completely up to you and your objectives. If you want to get the skill ticket to skill up your chosen tsum, then I think it's worth it. However if you aren't in a rush to skill up that tsum, then I think you can wait and save the coins for the limited time Mickey tsums coming out next weekend. Does this help answer your question?

      Thanks for reading!! =)

      Delete
    2. Also, it is important to note, FengHeng, that Arlo is only available through the pickup capsule. If you don't need him skilled up, then yes, it is best to save your coins. If you want to skill him up, then I think the pickup capsule is a worth it.

  10. I will check your blog for every month end to see the next event. ^^ I got a question. Which tsum tsum do you think is the best in farming coin?

    1. Thanks Cynthia! I'm glad my updates have been helpful. I really owe these updates to those who search for them and let the rest of us know about it. I'm really just a messenger, and I will continue to help out where I can. So far, it does look like the developers of Tsum Tsum has noticed our groups that revolve around knowing what new update is coming up next, so it has gotten progressively trickier to get the new info on what's happening next month. It's proving to be quite amusing for those who work to get these updates to the rest of the community. =)

Great question as well! From reading all the different feedback over the past half a year now, it looks like Beast (with Gyro turned on) Skill 6 is the best coin farming tsum to date still. =)

The Reddit Tsum Tsum group is awesome in that each month it showcases an updated spreadsheet consisting of the rankings of each tsum based on their ability to farm coins. The post for this is usually called "Monthly /r/TsumTsum Link Megathread - (MONTH) (YEAR)". So to answer your question, I looked at

      Monthly /r/TsumTsum Link Megathread - November 2016:

      https://www.reddit.com/r/TsumTsum/comments/5ah44j/monthly_rtsumtsum_link_megathread_november_2016/

and in that link, go to the fourth link called

"Tsum coin ranking list for October 2016... and beyond!"

And in there, click on "(as auto-updating ~5 minutes HTML version)" link under The Rankings banner, and you'll see the rankings of which tsums are the best for coin farming.

As it stands right now, on Nov 14th, 1:50AM PST, it looks like these are the 5 top best coin-farming tsums:

      1) Beast, Skill 6, Gyro turned ON
      2) Little Oyster, Skill 6
      3) Jack Sparrow, Skill 6 (only available in Japanese version of Tsum Tsum)
      4) Beast, Skill 6, Gyro turned OFF
      5) Birthday Anna, Skill 6

Hope this helped Cynthia! Thank you so much for reading!! =)

      Delete
    2. It is also worth mentioning that large area burst tsums are usually recommended. Coin earnings per chain grow increasingly quickly.

Little oyster at level 5 or above is good since at that point, the skill can be pretty much looped indefinitely, forming 20+ chains per use.

Also, do not even try to use Beast (or Pete) until you have leveled them enough. Skill 4 is the minimum for them.

    1. Hi Clara,

Gyro is an option you can turn off or on in your settings! If you go to your settings, you can see there's a button that says Gyro: (found this jpeg image online)

      http://www.thaiware.com/upload_misc/review/2014_09/728/643_1409231740188Y.jpg

When you turn on Gyro, your phone's accelerometer is being used to tell which direction your phone is tilted. So when you tilt it, the tsums end up falling to the side that you're tilting your phone to. This is extremely useful for tsums that clears diagonally across the screen!

For example, it is a highly advised amongst players to turn gyro ON with Beast, because when you tilt your device to the right, Beast's claw will clear out more tsums in that instance than if gyro is turned off. An Example of what I mean is found in this video:

      https://youtu.be/vrl2LVoieSA

Does that help answer your question, Clara?

Thanks for reading! =) Feel free to let me know if I can clarify anything else for you or if I was unclear in my explanation above!

    1. Hi MargieMead,
I'm sorry. I actually don't know how to help here as I'm not a technical person. One suggestion to seeing how to fix this may be to contact Line themselves about the issue and see if they have a solution to the problem, or another way to get help is to sign up on the Reddit Tsum Tsum page as a redditor and ask the question there. I personally would ask Line first and see what they say before asking on the Reddit group. This way they will know what Line has said and that you've gone down that route.

      Line developer email address: linegame_enquete@linecorp.com

Sorry again for not being much help here and good luck! I hope they will be able to help you solve your problem!

Do you think that there will still be another "Villans" lucky time since Sorcerer & Conductor Mickey's lucky time was extended?

    1. hey Kerri, Mickeys Lucky time wasn't extended sadly. They're just available in Premium Box until Nov 30 (no increased chance of obtaining than usual Premium Tsums) Villian Lucky time is expected from Nov 25-27. Mickeys and Maleficent Dragon are only available until Nov 30 from premium box. hth!

    2. Hi Kerri,

Thank you for your question! Nicksicle is correct! Right now there is no lucky time for the special Mickeys. They are just on display to let you know they'll be here until the end of the month. And you're in luck! As Nicksicle has state, yes, there is indeed another (and last) Villains Lucky Time coming up this Fri, Nov 25th to Sun, Nov 27th! So save up those coins if you want to keep skilling up those Villian tsums, especially Maleficent Dragon which is a time limited tsum available until Nov 30th!

Thanks Nicksicle for contributing!! I really appreciate it! =)
