Some new leaks just came out on Reddit! Again, Thank you so much Mayorse for all your hard work!!
So far, these are the scheduled events happening for December:
- Dec 1st to Dec 4th - Steamboat Mickey and Steamboat Minnie are coming our way this weekend!
- Dec 9th to Dec 11th - Steamboat Mickey and Minnie are coming our way again, but this time, Steamboat Pete is available for lucky time as well!!
Tidbit: make sure to get all three of these time limited tsums! These three new tsums are available only until Dec 31st!
- Dec 16th to Dec 18th - Last Lucky Time to try and get Steamboat Mickey, Minnie and Pete!!
It looks like not much info has been noted about these new tsums yet...
Looking at the video Seiji created for Steamboat Pete, it looks like it takes quite a bit before his skill meter can be activated. According to the Tsum Tsum Wiki, at Skill 1, Steamboat Pete needs 30 before his skill meter can be activated!! In other words, you need to clear 30 Steamboat Petes before his skill meter is full and you can use his ability. Wow...
According to the Wiki, it looks like skilling Steamboat Pete is the same as regular Pete in that the number required to activate his skill decreases with each skill up. The Wiki does indicate that at Skill 6, Steamboat Pete only requires 18 to activate his ability; however, no indication or knowledge yet that I can find on how many boxes are required to skill him up between each Skill level. This video showcases Steamboat Mickey, Minnie and Pete and at 6 minutes 17 seconds, it confirms that yes, Steamboat Pete at Skill 6 only needs 18 to activate his ability.
Seiji has also created a video that compares regular Pete with Steamboat Pete. Having said this, they're not comparable since Seiji has regular Pete maxed at Skill 6 while his Steamboat Pete is at Skill 4. At Skill 4, Steamboat Pete requires 24 before you can use his ability according to Seiji's video.
- Dec 5th to 26th - New Jigsaw Puzzle event!! During this event a Jigsaw Puzzle Heart will appear randomly in your heart meter. When you play using a Jigsaw Puzzle Heart, a capsule with a jigsaw puzzle piece will fall. To get this jigsaw piece, you must hit the capsule 2x! The pieces from the capsules will create a complete puzzle, and if you get a shiny puzzle piece, you will get additional prizes such as coins or items.
This is such an interesting update, mainly in part because the Jigsaw Puzzle is new and hasn't been released in the Japanese version of Tsum Tsum before.
As more updates get posted, I will be sure to update here as well. In the meantime, keep coin farming as the new tsums will be arriving on Thursday!

- Mission Bingos 9 to 17 have been translated to English! Not sure if we'll get all of these newly translated Bingo cards, but it is possible we may get Bingo 9 very soon!
- There will be a lucky time for Princess Aurora, Maleficent, and Clarice - UPDATE: NOV 30 - This Lucky Time will happen from Dec 12th to 14th
- Pickup Capsule that will contain all the Holiday Tsums: Pluto, Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy!! I know many people have been irritated that there are holes in their collection so start saving up 450,000 coins now for the capsule because these holiday tsums will only be available in the pickup capsule! Date still to be determined...
- The Classic Tsums (being Steamboat Mickey, Minnie, and Pete) will help you with the Jigsaw Puzzle event in that if you use one of these three Classic Tsums, they will allow you to hit the capsule 1x to attain the prize inside! I really highly suggest Steamboat Mickey since it seems to be one of the more effective ones to get more coins.
- The Jigsaw Puzzle event is said to have 2 Skill tickets and 1 Premium ticket as part of the prizes. Once completed, you'd get a Silver Jigsaw Holiday Pin!
UPDATE: NOV 30, 2016
If you wish to purchase rubies or utilize the item sales to get more coins, the following dates are when they will occur in December that we know of so far:
- Rubie Sale: Dec 1st to 4th; then Dec 9th to 11th
- Item Sale: Dec 13th to 18th
For now, we don't know the full capsule list and quantity, nor the date that this event will appear. If it is similar to the other months, then I would guess it would happen on the third weekend of the month. However since we do have the Last Lucky Time for the Steamboat Mickey, Minnie and Pete on that 3rd weekend (Dec 16 to 18), it may be just before the Last Lucky Time or even during Christmas time. Stay tune as I keep an eye out for new updates to update you on. =)

UPDATE: DEC 5, 2016
It sounds like there is a heart bonus from Dec 22nd to 27th, and a sign-up-for-a-Line-account-from-a-guest-account incentive between Dec 19th and 21st.
It is highly suspected that the capsule will start on Fri, Dec 23rd, which would logically make sense as a Christmas gift to all tsum tsum players on the International version since the capsule contains mainly if not only the Holiday Tsums! No confirmation can be found yet so I will update once more when I hear more about the exact quantities of which tsums are in the pickup capsule.
In case you haven't noticed yet, the Jigsaw Puzzle event has started!!

UPDATE: DEC 5, 2016 - AGAIN
There's Chance Time! Thank you FengHeng Wu for getting me to find out if we do!
Chance Times are 3 times per day:
- 6 to 7am (PST)
- 5 to 6pm (PST)
- 9 to 10pm (PST)
Tidbit: Use Chance Time if you don't have many hearts to spare!!
Tidbit: If you have lots of hearts to spare, exit out of the regular hearts to get to the next golden heart quicker.
Tidbit: When you reach the last few puzzle pieces, for example if you have only 1 puzzle piece left, the game won't give you more than 1 capsule to claim.
Tidbit: I am finding that while using Steamboat Mickey (without bonuses since he doesn't give me as many coins as say Jasmine does right now), I can only get around 4 to 5 puzzle pieces per game. I have tried getting the puzzle pieces with other tsums to see if I can get more, but it looks like 6 is the max I can get in one game (and I only got this 1x so far). So since this coming weekend, Steamboat Pete along with Steamboat Mickey and Minnie are coming in Lucky Time, I've decided to use this time to mine coins while getting the puzzle pieces. If you want Steamboat Pete, or even to skill up you Steamboat Mickey and Minnie further, I highly suggest mining coins with your coin farmer tsum and just use the chance times to get both the puzzle pieces and coins at the same time!
Tidbit: If your game says "Chance Time" at any point, please disregard it. The timing is off for the International game. Just stick with the 3 timeslots as shown in the screenshot below, and you will be able to get a full meter of gold puzzle hearts to play with!

Great news! Mayorse was able to find out what's in the Christmas pickup capsule which ends on Dec 26th at 11:59PM PST. The pickup capsule will start on Dec 23rd for this 4-day event!! This is awesome news since we want to be able to farm 450,000 coins before then, especially after the Classic Tsums lucky times!
Here is what the pickup capsule contains:
- 1 Holiday Mickey
- 2 Holiday Minnie
- 3 Holiday Pluto
- 3 Holiday Goofy
- 3 Holiday Donald
- 3 Holiday Daisy
Get all 15 capsules and you get a skill ticket to apply to any tsum of your choosing!!
Tidbit: Keep farming those coins if you want Steamboat Pete this weekend, and/or if you want to increase the skill level of your Steamboat Mickey and Minnie! Afterwards, I suggest to keep farming coins until the end of the month since we don't know what big event will come in January after the pickup capsule comes! This is such a jam-packed and fun-filled Decemeber for Tsum Tsum fans everywhere!!
Oh, one last tidbit! Whenever you find that you're starting to find the game or jigsaw puzzle event too repetitive, select Genie as your MyTsum and he will make sure to keep you on your toes! I find using Genie makes coin farming and attaining the puzzle pieces simultaneously a lot more fun. I may be biased though since he's my favorite tsum to play with, though he's still not my coin farming tsum since I'm not consistent with him yet. Anyways, I digress. =)

DeleteThere are a couple great resources you can tap into to see what missions each bingo card holds:
1) http://disneytsumtsum.wikia.com/wiki/Bingo is a really good resource to check out for what each mission is on each bingo card, as well as which tsums to use in order to complete the missions itself.
2) http://chiiching.myweb.hinet.net/TsumTsum/index.html is a great general site for information about a variety of things - I learned about this site through Reddit a while ago. This second site is more of a general purpose site that allows you to learn what tsums you can use for the different type of missions e.g. which tsums has rosy cheeks, eyebrows, etc. It's a good starting place I find aside from the first website above.

ReplyDeleteSo, there is a capsule battle coming up. This is going to be fun. The only thing I am scared of is that I don't know when the capsule comes out. Don't really want to spend everything right before the capsules.
I am in the same boat, Alvin! For now, just keep farming as many coins as you can before the lucky times, and right after you try for the lucky time tsums, jump right back in to farm more coins before the next event. At least you will have 2 to 3 days at most to farm more coins before the next event occurs. Since the leak for the Princess Aurora/Maleficent/Clarice Lucky Time is from Dec 12th to 14th, then the very earliest that the pickup capsule can occur would be Mon, Dec 19th after the last lucky time for the Classic Tsums. Having said this, it would actually make sense for the developers to release the Pickup Capsule for the Holiday tsums during the Christmas weekend between Dec 23rd to 26th. I will update the blog once I find out! Stay tune.

I was wondering, lately can't seem to get any of the limited time tsums, I tried so many times to get conducter mickey and sorcerer mickey, now I've been trying to buy classic mickey and minnie..I've spent so many coins trying to get them with no luck..I know they are random and can't pick the tsums I want,but geez I give up trying....any ideas???��

DeleteJust out of curiosity, have you updated your game in the app store? Sometimes it does take a bit of time to try and get the tsums, especially since there are so many available in the premium box. What I recommend is to save up at least 300,000 coins before trying for the lucky time, that way you can open many boxes at once. I find this strategy to be most effective in getting the time limited tsums since it's all based on probability. I've read on Reddit that generally, lucky times are around 20% lucky.
So if you don't have very many coins now, try saving up for next weekend's lucky time because you'll get a chance to get Steamboat Pete then too which may be a better return for all your effort to farm coins.
Let me know if this helps answer part of your question. To see if you have the most updated version of Tsum Tsum, go to your app store and see when it last updated. The most recent update looks to have come out around Nov 24th.

ReplyDeleteHi. Great blog very helpful. Thanks. Who do you like for coin farming and what skill is the Tsum? I just started a couple of months ago at the end of the pick up capsule with Bumblebee Pooh. My best Tsum is Rattlebones Pluto. Without power ups I can get 800-1000 per game and sometimes 1200-1400 per game. Playing with power ups doesn't seem to add many coins. I have Beast I could level to 4 with skill tickets from event and pick up capsule. I also have level one Jasmine. Level two beat. Level three Maleficent Dragon. Other online sources say Beast is the best, especially at skill 6. Thanks in advance.

DeleteHi DB, I believe Skill 6 Beast is the best farmer still, because you can get his skill meter full with 14 and each swipe when used with gyro can easily burst 35+ tsums. Right now, as I look, Jack Sparrow and Little Oyster are also at the top of the list of best tsums to use for coin farming.
I would skill up your Beast to Skill 4 as you're getting really close to Skill 5 which is the minimum skill level to make Beast a great coin farmer. =)

DeleteBeen waiting for classic pete/mickey/minnie. saved 240k coins and tried purchase 8 boxes today and i get none of them, not even a new tsum , ALL skills up. So disapointing, i am so gonna quit playing tsum tsum 😂ðŸ˜
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that Chocolate! I completely understand how you feel, and how frustrated it is to try and get the new tsums and not be able to.
ReplyDeleteLucky Times seem to vary from person to person. Some will have better luck than others in getting the new tsums, and sometimes these same individuals will get worse luck in the lucky times. I find that if you save up at least 300,000 coins, you are in better position in possibly getting the new tsums. It's a higher chance for sure if you're newer to the game and thus don't have so many other tsums that could potentially skill up during the lucky time instead. If you have a lot of tsums (for example, I have over 100 tsums in my collection), Lucky Times are more promising with at least 600,000 coins so that you can open 20 boxes in a row. You still have a chance next weekend when there's the last lucky time for the Classic Tsums! For the next time, maybe see if you can save up 500,000 to 600,000 coins. Hopefully you'll be able to get the new tsums then! Do remember that in about 2 weeks, there will be the pickup capsule for the Holiday Tsums which will need 450,000 coins itself.
Good luck! I know you will be able to get one of the new tsums if you are persistent enough!
