Tidbit: Fairy Godmother - her skill is similar to Birthday Anna. When you activate her skill, she will turn 5 to 10 tsums (depending on your Fairy Godmother's skill level) into Cinderella. You can connect Cinderella to Fairy Godmother tsums, and when you do make this chain and let go, the Cinderella tsums become Princess Cinderellas and clears the surrounding tsums.
Tidbit: Both Cinderella and Fairy Godmother requires 19 to 20 before their skill meter gets activated! However, Fairy Godmother does require less to fill up her skill meter as you skill her up. So my advice is to skill up Fairy Godmother as much as you can, especially if you're good at using Birthday Anna's skill. Furthermore, both of these new tsums will be very useful for the upcoming Cinderella event! Read on below for more details!

- Jan 5th to Jan 8th - Select Lucky Time for Baymax, Triton, and Marie
- Jan 6th to Jan 25th - Cinderella Event! This event is similar to the Halloween Event that we just had back in October 2016. Instead of collecting candies, you're collecting magical bottles which contain magical points! Similar to the Halloween event, in one of these magical bottles, you may get a Magical Party Invitation where you can try to clear as many magical bottles as you can to get more magical points! Using Cinderella or Fairy Godmother will give you bonus magical points as well, thus help you finish the event faster. The goal of the event is to collect enough magical points to be able to decorate 3 different dresses for Cinderella. There are 20 cards altogether, meaning there are 6 to 7 cards per dress. Details of each dress found at this Reddit thread: Cinderella Event Live. As with each event we've played so far, once you clear the whole event, you will receive a Cinderella Pin.
- Jan 12th to Jan 15th - the Official Tsum Tsum Facebook page has 100,000 Likes, thus they're rewarding us with 10,000 coins. This reward can only be claimed Once per player during this period.
- Jan 12th to Jan 18th - Item sale
You still got the rest of this month to coin farm before Cinderella and Fairy Godmother comes our way! From what I can tell so far from the leaks, it looks like these two tsums are Not limited time tsums, so you will be able to continue to skill them up in the future via the premium boxes.

Can someone please help me understand the difference between leveling up and skilling up. And also, can I skill up by leveling up?

DeleteSkilling up is when you get duplication of a tsum from the boxes you buy e.g. if you got Cinderella from the premium box, then you tried for another premium box and you get Cinderella again, you would skill her up. Skilling up is different for different tsums. For example, when you skill up Rapunzel, the chain you can create gets longer with each skill up. When you skill up Jasmine, the area that is cleared gets larger. It just depends on whether the tsum is a burst tsum or a tsum that requires you to make chains.
Leveling up happens when you clear enough of that tsum to level it up, regardless of the skill level. So when you first get a tsum, as you play with it more or the more you clear it in a game, the more the progress bar advances as you'd see after each play.
The maximum level for each tsum is 50, whereas the maximum skill level is dependent on the tsum, some being maxed at Skill 3 as it is with the happiness tsums, and many being maxed at Skill 6 in the premium box collection.
So play more games and you level up your tsum. Buy more boxes with your accumulated coins and whenever you get duplications of a tsum you already have in your collection, you skill them up.
Does this sort of clear up the difference between the two? And no, you cannot skill up a tsum by leveling up, only can skill up a tsum by getting duplications from the boxes you buy.

ReplyDeleteHi WKWK, it is still January 12th on the Pacific Coast. You're right the event comes out on Fri, Jan 13th at midnight, Pacific Standard time though, so 2 hours and 5 minutes left before the next Cinderella and Fairy Godmother Lucky Time! =) Good Luck!
